Moody’s Investors Service announced recently that Mercer Island School District maintains “Triple-A” rating
District superintendent, Dr. Gary Plano, was notified in mid-December, 2011 by Moody’s Investors Service that it had completed its assessment of the district’s rating outlook. Moody's has revised the outlook to stable thus maintaining its AAA rating. The Mercer Island School District is only one of five (5) school districts in the state with the highest rating outlook. “I am pleased and relieved to know that Moody’s has maintained our excellent credit rating to be among the highest in the country,” said Dr. Plano.
